Job satisfaction is an emotional attitude of an employee against the company related to what has been given by companies to employees. Every employee who works in an organization must have some expectations to fulfill. Satisfaction will appear within a few expectations when employees can be fulfilled by the organization where the employee works. The more fulfilled expectations the higher the level of employee satisfaction in the work. Along with great satisfaction that will display a commitment to the organization within an employee. The higher level of employee satisfaction will be higher the employee commitment to the organization. If the employee has to feel satisfied with the fulfillment of his needs and has created a high commitment among employees to the organization, the high performance will also be created within the organization. This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on organizational performance through commitment to the employees of PT Larasati Multisentosa, Pasuruan. The study was conducted at PT Larasati Multisentosa, Pasuruan in November-December 2009. Object of this research is an employee of PT Larasati Multisentosa, Pasuruan, totaling 151 people, while the sample taken 109 people and taking the sample technique using Simple Random Sampling method. In the study independent variables are job satisfaction (x), intervening variables organizational commitment (Z), and the performance bound variables (Y). This research instrument using items from previous studies that have been tested, so to test the validity and reliability remain to be done to test the validity and reliability of data obtained. Analysis of data used is the analysis path (Path Analysis). The goal of path analysis is to determine the influence of direct and indirect effects among variables. The results of this research can be identified: (1). There is a direct influence of significant job satisfaction of organizational commitment, (2). There is a direct influence significantly the organization's commitment to performance, (3). There is a direct influence significantly the performance of job satisfaction, (4). There are indirect effects of significant job satisfaction on performance through organizational commitment
